About buzzOplex
buzzOplex is a compilation of projects that I am involved in or have been involved. The main focus of the page is puppetry. After years of working as a design/builder in theater and opera in Anchorage, Alaska I began to scale down. I began to build theater in miniature. First by doing a stage play written by Brian Hutton, also from Anchorage, in a scale model theater of Cyrano's Off Center Playhouse. This was a two act play complete with 6 puppets, pyrotechnics (with incident), lighting and sound affects. The performance was a success.
This led me to Prague, Czech Republic to a marionette building workshop.

This workshop dealt with design/engineering, carving, painting, costuming, performance. Through outings, a wide range of puppets, marionettes in particular, were introduced to us. Being continually challenged by this venue of performance has lead to many other projects and hopefully will led to more.
